If I was the CA operating that flight and found out one of my own guys was making a scene in front the everyone, the other guy would get it. I don't tolerate that BS. If you're asking for a free ride, it's a courtesy, NOT a given right. You should be treating EVERYONE with the utmost respect I've never had a situation like that happen though luckily ... the many JSers I've had have been truly grateful and appreciative ... I'm a commuter, so I do my VERY best to not leave anyone behind

I think if it were a XJ flight it would be by seniority for the jumpseat on an XJ flight, however with mainline it is first come first serve. Plus I believe you have to be listed 30 minutes prior on a mesaba flight or all bets are off.

You're correct, as long as you can say nine hundred you are most likely not this tool at the gate

At OO if they are printing the seniority for the jumpseat at the bottom of the release, to include mainline and all current DAL/UAL regionals in order of priority. However I agree that it is up to the 2 competing company pilots to sort out who is senior, and respect that part of the agreement.

Making it past the gate agent so that the CA can use the info a the bottom of the release is another story.

Jeez... that's the last thing I need added to my already mile long tree killing releases! The priority is in the FOM. Simple.

Yeah...or the F/A. I had an experience j/sing once where the flight attendant wouldn't let me in the cockpit before taking my ID first and showing it to the capt, which is exactly the point of me going up there.

Not sure where you are going with this one. Pinnacle flies mostly 200's and some 900's for DL. Mesaba flies mostly 900's and some 200's along with Saabs for DL...Im not saying NW to reflect the merger.

And for the last time, can we get over the jet vs prop thing please. The mud slinging always seems to come from prop guys who think we are all *******s. Not so much the other way around from what I see on here.

Interesting, in 9 years flying at Delta, I've never had one FA bring a jumpseaters's ID/paperwork up. Had plenty of ASA FAs do it to me though.
