Sell my logbook pro subscription
 

I currently have logbook pro, however, I recently purchased a new mac computer and would really like to swich to Log Ten (the mac OS logbook program). However, I'm not really interested in forking over anouther $100 for it. Does anyone know if there is some way to sell my current subscription on ebay or something?

There are several ways of acquiring something for the mac.....also why do you have a mac?

I can tell you why I have one. PC's suck. There is no way to convince me otherwise because in my time I've owned over 4 PC desktops (2 of which I built myself using the best stuff I could find) and 2 PC laptops. I've also owned two Mac's and my current MacBook Pro I've owned since the line came out over 3 years ago. I have never had one problem with either of my Mac's. Seriously, not one. Not one virus, not one Spybot scan return of hundreds of malicious programs, not one fried hard drive or power supply, not one corrupt registry, not one dead pixel on my laptop, and not one bad battery. I have had every single one of those issues, plus countess more with my PC's.

People can hate on Apple all they want, but in the end it's hard to argue that they don't sell a superior product. I can say this because I used to be an Apple basher too, I was a gamer and hated the fact I couldn't put a new video card in, or overclock the processor. Fact of the matter is my 3 year old MacBook Pro which I can dual boot and run Windows natively still blows my roommates brand new high-end Dell laptop out of the water when playing games.

Bash all you want on Mac's, but you should at least own one to see why so many fellow PC users have made the jump.

Don't even get me started on the superiority of the iPhone :)

I beg to differ. I you put a powerhouse PC vs a the best Mac, I dont think there is a single benchmark the Mac would even come close to the PC. I'm not talking about comparing a mac to some generic Dell laptop.

Not sure about a indentical hardware head-to-head, but I dont think you'll find a mac with 4 crossfired video cards or 12+ gb of ram.

You also wouldn't find that in a Laptop, which is what he was talking about ... but if you want to go that route, you're right, there's no way on earth a sproused up desktop with the "gaming" enhancements will be beaten by the best laptop any day of the week. You just can't put that kind of equipment into a laptop ... at least not the last time I checked... I'm more than willing to be wrong about that :)

I half agree with you.. I have forever hated Macs, and its actually not true what you just said.. The processing power of PCs has far surpassed that of Apple over the last 10-15 years. Most digital imaging is now done on PCs rather than Macs like they were 10-15 years ago. And the only reason that you have never had a virus, spyware, or malware is that the people who create these things realize that macs arent worth their time... ;)

I do agree that the iPhone is pretty awesome, but thats the only apple product (besides an Ipod) that I will ever own.

In many ways Mac and PC software are two different animals. For me personally, the big advantage to Mac over PC is that Steve Jobs and Co. have designed a computer software system that is open source. I am not interested in making Larry Ellison of Oracle or Bill Gates of Microsoft (who has never had an original software design idea of his own) any wealthier by having to buy their closed system software designs.

To each their own. I as well used to be a PC person, never again. No offense to those that play them, but super high end video games are not my thing.

See my issue is the program side of things with mac, people think macs are sssooooo different when it's just a dumb down version of a computer. Hell IBM makes the processors now so it is a pc as far as I am concerned. As for bad experience with computers, I've never had a bad experience, things fail all the time no matter what brand of stuff you have. I've never had a virus or spybot because I AM NOT A MORON AND OPEN .EXE FILES IN E-MAILS or download pron.

Anyways I digress my main point is if you are going to buy a mac and want to use your old logbook program, do what turbofan said and put a dual-boot in your mac so you have windows and run it that way. Or you can do it the illegal way and just find the program online and download it.
