To ExpressJet pilots
To: any pilot at ExpressJet
Is your company still hiring 60 pilots/month? Where can a newcomer expect to get based once training is completed? Can one hold a decent line after 2-3 years with the company? Any general info for a prospective pilot thinking about ExpressJet as a career would be most excellent. |

Oddly enough, I'll hold a line in CLE in AUG but will be on reserve until late next winter in IAH. A newhire will hold a line fastest (right now) in EWR. But, to be safe, expect to be on reserve for a minimum of 6 months. And yes, I chose IAH. I could've stayed in CLE for as long as I wanted. ExpressJet is a wonderful place to work. I really enjoy everyone I interact with. The aircraft are well maintained both inside and out. We fly so many different places it is mind boggling for a 50 seat airplane. That said, I know that I plan to be here for 5-7 years before I try to move on. In that time, so many things could change that it's hard to say what I'll be doing. The bottom line, I love the company and am happy to work there. |
Great info Jetlink! Thanks for your time.
