well in the future as more and more people get killed from fatigue induced accidents like this one i hope passengers start to realize why they are being killed---they are only worried about the almighty dollar.

Well, I was having a good day until I read that stuff. Makes my blood boil how arrogant people are. Darn, the only way I can feel better now is to find out who these people are and leave a burning bag of dog crap on their front step.

Public Opinion

If the comments are any consensus of public impressions of the situation then it seems that wages will remain the same and pilots will be pressured to live at their base.

Some here have claimed on another thread that if the airlines were to require that pilots live at their base the results would be that pilot would quit the profession in droves. In reality if it were to happen I think that there would be a lot of grumbling and UHaul would get a lot of business.

You wouldnt see people leave in "droves" - But, people would leave...Me included - Don't have a choice when the better half makes 3xs the money! Maybe it's a blessing in disguise.
