TSA branded?

Hopefully someone can set me straight here...

I passed a E-145 today at ORD with a big "TRANS STATES AIRLINES" on the side.
What is the deal with that? I thought they were all UAL/ US AIR flights...

I believe they have some planes in generic schemes so they can transfer them between the different airlines they operate for.

Correct. These airplanes operate as spares, and are left in a generic paint scheme so that they be operated for any partner airline without being "offensive".

AHH. Thanks.

Do other regionals do that as well? Specifically republic as they fly for just about everyone

Wow, at least they put their name on it.... around LGA you get to see several the all white with blue engine E145's with no name coming and going. I was told it was for the same reason, so they could use them at any of their contracts. 2 points for TSA for at least putting their name on the plane.

Also, don't forget the pair of blue tails at S5. 979RP is one of them

Why are the E170s so ugly? They look like big retarded shrimp.

My decision to fly an airplane is not based on how it looks, but whose name is on the side of the plane.

I second that motion. Kinda what I was getting at with my post. I couldn't help but thinking that there are some really good looking 700's and then somw down right ugly ones.
