Congratulations to the RAH pilots

you are just continuing a trend of growing regional carriers

they are replacing the overpriced legacy pay and benefits

it has been going on for quite awhile now - this is just confirmation that the regionals have their costs under control and a good business model

unlike the legacies that are still struggling to survive - even after one or two bankruptcies by the same companies

it's just a transition - a slow march onward

you can't fight it

Deleted my post questioning your experince as it appears that you are or were a Delta pilot. But I do wonder why your coment read like it did. Care to elaborate?

what goes around- comes around

started losing MY flying to Comair in the 90's

hasn't stopped - lost my pension etc

it is always great to see the pendulum swing back - and it always does!

and when it does - what was killing you is now killing others

what goes around comes around

Peter: Hey hey I got an idea. Lets play "I Never." You got to drink if you did the thing that the person says they never did.
Cleveland: Oh I got one, I never slept with a women with the lights on.
(They all drink.)
Joe: I'll go next, uh I never had sex with Cleveland's wife.
(Quagmire and Cleveland drink.)
Peter: alright lets see uh, I never did a chick in a Logan airport bathroom.
(Only Quagmire drinks.)
****About 33 drinks later****
Peter: God lets see what else is there um...I never gave a reach-around to a spider monkey while reciting the Pledge of Alligence.
Quagmire: Oh God.
(Quagmire takes a drink.)
Joe: I uh I never picked up an illegal alien at Home Depot to take home a choke me while I touch myself.
Quagmire: Oh come on!
(Quagmire drinks again.)
Peter: I never did the same thing except with someone from Joann Fabrics.
Quagmire: Oh God this is ridiculous. You guys suck! (Drinks more and passes out.)

It seems pretty obvious that you must be a member of RAH management. While this is a victory for management, the pilot group sees this as the true double edged sword it is.

The myth that pilot wages drive an airline into bankruptcy and drives ticket prices up is easily busted by a simple name: SOUTHWEST AIRLINES. Some of the best paid pilots in the country, with some of the lowest fares ( if not the lowest) and the only reason they are not in the red was a mistake on fuel hedging. The way you, the managers, run an airline has a much greater impact on profitability.

Stop treating your labor as a liability and start treating us as an asset and perhaps this company will be a "Major" airline someday. Size of aircraft means nothing in that respect.

The Pandora box is open. Major pilots will not and should not give an inch of scope and the RAH pilot group will fight for fair compensation and the much overdue quality of life in the next contract.

Teamsters, you are now put on notice! With the change in the local, this is your chance to prove yourselves worth our dues and negotiate a leading contract. Anything less and you can count on our move towards another option...

been at NetJets since I lost my pension

glad to be out of the 121 rat race

but felt compelled to speak out as I lost much of my pension to Comair and ASA etc

I imagine the Captain rates won't be that bad, but the FO rates must come up. $31/hour for a second year FO is ridiculous

RAHPilot5, you made my night. Thank you.
