My question is that are there any other airlines that will hire fo's who are above the age of 18 apart from Expressjet and Horizon ???

I think most airlines prefer pilots who are either under the age of 18 or over the age of 60....everyone in between is usually SOL unless you have some major connections.

You absolutely have to be 18 to hold a commercial license, and in turn work for an airline. Your question,

THE ANSWER IS YES! ALL OF THEM HIRE ABOVE THE AGE OF 18!

Anything else?

I knew a guy who was hired by American Eagle when he was 20, but had to wait a few months for ground school because he would then be 21.

That's the only one I know of that won't.

Everybody hires employees above the age of 18. In fact airlines don't discriminate on age. However the regulations prevent people of certain ages from working as a pilot. Since you can't be a commercial pilot until you are 18, you can't fly for hire until you turn 18 (at least not in an airplane).

I think it's impossible to actually be hired at Horizon at 18, they require so much you couldn't possibly have the experience by age 18, not to mention college. Do yourself and other pax who have to see your baby face piloting their plane a favor and do what normal people 18-21 do, that's certainly isn't flying a commercial plane.
