rough week over at shuttle an FA was murdered in ATL and now this god bless their families

both were ATL based. Tough week for RAH, Shuttle, and specificly the ATL base.

Regarding the FA, was it on the job (overnight)?

That name sounds familiar, but I couldn't find a pic to see if I knew the guy for sure. Did he have red hair and go to Riddle DAB?

I think I know who you are talking about, but I doubt is him / looked on FB couldnt find a pic...

No, he was stabbed in Piedmont Park last week.

The SKYW CA that died this week was on an overnight in Chicago. :( Sad days for all.

I would assume so, it was an pool accident.

Captain Gordon "Doogie" Hyde II.

He was flown home yesterday by SKYW with his best friend piloting the flight. Came off the runway to the firetruck honor. There are pics floating around somewhere...

He had a trip starting the next morning, he had commuted in and was at a hotel he used, don't know which one.

Condolences to all at RAH and Skywest.

I flew with the republic (shuttle) pilot's Father at ATA. His sister was killed in a car wreck about 2 years ago. I can't imagine having to bury both my children. God bless them. What a waste.

I had met Drew a few times and he stayed at my place once. Terrible news for the family, losing 2 kids. What a shame. Condolences

Always tough to lose crew members. When you're out on the road with them for days at a time they start becoming your extended family.

I only had the pleasure of flying one leg with Drew when I was new here and I still remember it. He was a great guy and I wish I could have known him better.
