Pinnacle interview question
Hi guys, just wanted to know what everyone thinks of the Pinnacle written exam? I'm interviewing with them next week, and was wondering if that study guide they have floating around the net is comprehensive enough to devote time to.
....alright, keep the blue side up!!

Negative. It's a multiple choice exam with some fill in the blank. I finished it in about 15 mins. It was 40-50 questions regarding high alt aerodynamics, IFR procedures, and FAR Parts 91 and 121. If you study the SUBJECT AREAS found in the gouge on the popular gouge websites you'll do fine. Do not pay attention to the answers included in the gouge. Don't get too worked up over the written if you feel confident in the subject areas mentioned in the gouge. The challenge will be during the technical interview when they ask you some of the same questions that were on the written and to explain some of the concepts from the written. It's easy to tell if someone knows what they are talking about or not when they are asked to explain something.
Myself and two other applicants showed up for the interview earlier this month. One, a corporate pilot with plenty of jet time, didn't get past the written. Another lower time pilot made it through the end of the process. I'm not sure if that pilot received an invitation to training or not. I start training next month and am looking forward to every minute of it.
Good luck with the process. It is very laid back. The only pressure you'll feel is the pressure you place upon yourself. Have some personality but don't be cocky. Admit if you don't know an answer. I did. Have fun and learn something from the experience.
