awesome...first they steal things, then they break into airplanes and break the plane in the process, then they question a ron paul supporter.....Is all this a result of them getting badges? Thank god we didn't give them weapons also.

TSA agents in ORD were using pitot tubes and such on AE ERJs as ladders to see if the could enter the aircraft.

Another example of just who and what we're dealing with:

Don't legitimize them by calling them "the law". They are security..... NOT law enforcement. I think I probably know what you mean; but callaing them "the law" makes it sound like you are talking law enforcement IMO.
USMCFLYR Btw - MISSION CREEP! Just like in the other case recently discussed on the forum. No no no no, I dont think they are the law. He asked "who do THEY think they are". They think they are the law. I think, well you dont want to know what I think about them. |

USMCFLYR Btw - MISSION CREEP! Just like in the other case recently discussed on the forum. On that note, has anyone really looked at their badges? It says "Officer"! https://www.sallyscopshop.com/estore...s/DSCN2140.JPG |

The Things He Carried - The Atlantic (November 2008) No system will ever be perfect, and I agree that the TSA fiasco is so far from even being normal, that it should probably be scrapped in favor of something else.... however, articles like the one in your link do nothing but teach the would be idiots how to defeat what little "security" there is. Yep, it "exposes" a problem.... but was there any doubt the "problem" existed in the first place; NO. So why write an article that details exactly how to get past security... it doesn't change anybody's mind about what is, or isn't wrong with TSA... it just highlights a few good methods to get things past them. The article is of no use to anybody except a criminal. |

It says "Officer"! https://www.sallyscopshop.com/estore...s/DSCN2140.JPG As long as it doesn't say Police, or Special Agent... it's legal.... in this case it's Security Officer... although I am sure that many actual Federal Law Enforcement Officers are upset about them being issued badges of the exact same style and type as their own, with just small wording changes. Personally, I liked their uniforms before; they looked more professional.... now they look ridiculous. |
