just maybe a rumor...But word is that Gulfstream has canceled and is refunding students going into the FO thing that they have.....? any thoughts. plus the FAA is mandating regional mins to be 1500!!!!!

source would be a kid going down to gia and getting refuded his money do to this "new rule".... highly unlikely but still interesting. if that would ever be the case. wouldnt all those guys with less than 15 have to be granfathered pass this rule?... still i do think its BS tho....

My guess is that the kid had somthing that popped up in his background, that disqualified him, and was thus refunded.

what is this about new FAA regional mins and does that apply to pilots who are already hired or on furlough?

I think GIA is starting a program with elementary schools for a "direct entry" FO program instead. 11 year olds will pay waaaaaaaaay more cash. Plus their child weights will really help out in the winter.

I highly doubt that would include those currently on with a 121 carrier. If so, I better hurry up before I get furloughed.

I heard 5 guys were sent home with refund! one guy stayed! whats happening? no more GTA/GIA? maybe the airline wants to recall all of those furloughs and COLAs?
