I am interested in applying at Compass and have a couple questions.
1. Is 1500 hours a hard minimum or are they willing to lower the minimums for applicants currently working at a 121 carrier?
2. Is the ATP written required before applying or do they allow you to acquire it after being hired but before the class date?
Thanks in advance for the replies.

2. Yes, you will most likely not get an interview without it

I don't know exactly about classes, they normally run about 1 class of 4-6 a month when hiring. Next interviews are scheduled for March 23-24 I think. In any case, for those of you looking to apply get your stuff in like yesterday and if you don't hear back, keep updating it every 3-6 months. Compass is really understaffed right now and there could be more hiring to come.......maybe. If you need your ATP written done fast there's on online course by Sheppard Air that will do the trick fast. I studied for about 2 days, took it the next one and got a 98%. It's a dumb test, just get 'er done and get it on your resume.

+1 on the Sheppard Air. Studied the same as RTRD with about the same results!

I am really intersted in working for Compass and am going to submit my resume. I have 2300 hrs with about 600 multi and a little more turbine. Is this fairly competitive right now? Also, is MSP the junior base? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Assuming you also have a 4 year degree and a reasonable training record then you should be competitive. I think having a completed ATP written is also a bonus. Hiring is a little slow at the moment, but should pick up over the next 6 months due to people going elsewhere. DTW is the junior base for most new hire classes.
