Check into some of the full time 141 flight schools (ie Spartan, etc). I know for a fact you can make more than your average regional FO and build 1000 hours annually if you are willing to work hard. This would require a move but alas that is what we all end up doing in this industry.
KC10 Fatboy said it well: is your passion for flying greater than the sacrifices you will need to make today in order to achieve them? Thanks.I have been sacraficng for twelve years. I could have stayed on active duty and I'd be a Major by now. Sotruct me I understand sacrafice. :D |

You would think that people that are where you're going telling you to give up would mean for something. Really, I could care less if you want to fly in fact more seniority numbers for me as you will be below me, the more the better. It's the truth. Just wait, you will realize you should have given up.
If I gave up thats means the last 12 years were for nothing. Isacrafices not staying on active duty. i sacrafices not having a family. All the money I spent on licenses and ratings. Money. Time. Maybe you have neverbeeninthe miitary but just to give up doesnot make sense to in my mind. I wasnt molded like that. Thank Uncle Sam for that I guess. SO oyu say just give up and walk away? WOW? |

Already in it. If I had training waiting for me along with a nice big loan, I would have never done it. The future at the airlines will be mediocre at best.

Willie, you look like a young enough guy. The future is what you make of it. If you want out, it only takes two weeks notice. Go find something else to do.
