Isnt Tomorrow 9-E D Day

Isnt tomorrow the last day to cast votes for the TA...

How soon till the results are posted.

PinnacleFO 09-23-2009 03:51 PM

results should be in by 11am eastern

Noseeums 09-23-2009 05:02 PM

Yep... we get to see just what percentage of this group is filled with tradesmen vs. professionals.

av8sean 09-23-2009 05:32 PM

55% pass. That's my guess.

PinnacleFO 09-23-2009 05:45 PM

here is some food for thought - As of today at 2pm 80% had voted. According to our union poll there were 315 no votes and 91 yes votes. 80% is about 1020 pilots or so. If and once again a really big if these poll results are accurate 510 votes would be needed for majority so out of the remaining 614 votes, only 195 of them would have to be no votes to make this thing fail. In this case not voting at all actually hurts the yes vote.

The big x factor in this vote is people who say they are going to vote no - do they actually follow through. If not, lets move on and put it behind us.

RJtrashPilot 09-23-2009 06:04 PM

You guys have fought long and hard for a decent and fair contract. I sincerely hope that you do not sell yourself short and let the years of negotiations go to waste on a lame, subpar or substandard contract. I wouldn't even settle for mediocre. Don't settle for 1 cent less than what you are worth.

higney85 09-23-2009 07:13 PM

ballot closes at 10am ET tomorrow... It will get posted shortly after. 15-30 minutes after the news will spread. All Pinnacle pilots can expect an email by mid-day.

Bond 09-23-2009 07:51 PM

Best of luck to you guys, I hope you get everything you deserve including retro for 5 years of bullsh*t that management put you through.

TSioux55 09-23-2009 08:56 PM

Needless to say, I'm holding my breath. Believe me, I'm gonna be checking those results shortly after 10am. It would totally make my day if this thing got voted down!!

TSioux55 09-23-2009 09:01 PM

...And by the way, I wish there would be a breakdown of what percentage voted yes/no in all four bases. That way, my MO-Town brothas and sistas would get to show HOW ****ED OFF WE ALL ARE!!!:p

JetPipeOverht 09-23-2009 09:53 PM

I hope you guys vote it down and try to make a stand...

HIREME 09-24-2009 04:56 AM

Good mgmt tactic to hold us at the bottom for 4+ yrs and then offer meager increases. Many I talk to are worried we won't see anything better than this and it will take another couple years to see that. FEAR is powerful, but only if you allow it.

seahawker01 09-24-2009 05:21 AM

Good Luck

From a Colgan pilot pilot, I wish you the best of luck. We have seen the summary but not the language. What truly scares me is our union reps are waving it around and saying it has some really good things in it. Typical ALPO...

Stryker 09-24-2009 05:44 AM

15 minutes and counting.... Good luck!!!

20sx 09-24-2009 05:57 AM

I voted NO, but there is deserved fear in that vote. I just look at Trans States and think, that could be us. I like the scope protection, but man, the rest is just not good.

challenger 09-24-2009 06:06 AM

The countdown has started who will be the first to post the results

SmitteyB 09-24-2009 06:07 AM

No matter what you guys decide- this Colgan pilot supports you and your efforts.

Stryker 09-24-2009 06:07 AM

The Jeopardy theme song has started playing!!!

Someone just posted on the union board that it was unsuccessful

RJtrashPilot 09-24-2009 06:31 AM

If this is accurate, congrats. Now get your reps and negotiators out there and get what you deserve -- nothing less than a fair contract.

Remember, the company's "last, best, and final offer" is anything but.

bored 09-24-2009 06:33 AM

Well this drama just got a little bit more interesting. This is always a gamble, because you never know what the next offer might be. However, considering many things in this contract seem to be subpar and hardly better than some concessionary contracts out there, GOOD FOR YOU GUYS for standing firm after the last several years of BS.

That's good...based on my calculations then even if the 9% that didn't vote had voted YES this thing still would have gone down. Great going guys. Hats off to you for holding the line right now and not lowering the bar for something substandard. The "signing bonus" alone and not retro would have been enough for a NO vote from me based on what I saw.
