Sure...I dont care if a regional has a CRJ900 or a 717...but they better not have more than 70 seats. Anything above 70 seats is just hurting the jobs of ALL airline pilots out there. I dont care if you are in the left seat of an RJ or a 777, the bottom line is that regionals should only be a step for all airline pilots...and not a career!

There just isn't enough room at the sinking majors to step into. Besides seems like the future holds for the majors to fly their own RJ's for regional pay.

yep and I buy a 5 bedroom house and only plan on furnishing 3 of them. The 900s are merely a bookmark until DAL pilots allow RJs to have 90 seats..and by the way; passenger comfort????have ya ridden on these tight tubes...please step away from the crack pipe!

Couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, ALPA, it appears, lacks any balls when it comes to dealing with the regional carriers. Perhaps an ALPA president who is a capt at a regional? *GASP* Would never happen. lol

Maybe that is the master plan? The majors slowly dissolve over time while the feeder regionals grow to fill the gap while at less than a third the wages. The last step is for the majors to go away completely and the next day 737's show up.

Does anyone here know how close ALPA is to moving in at Skywest? I have a feeling once OO and EV are unionized things will get a bit better!

Get a bit better in what terms? Pay? QOL / Work issues?

Certainly won't be pay, we won't see any increases in pay scales again, in a very VERY long time, if ever.

Most pilots at OO want a separate payscale for the 700, if they can get that...there will be many more content pilots. Also from what I hear their lines keep getting worse and worse causing the quality of life for their pilots to sink!!!

Baburang, you obviously do not know anything about SKYW. Most ALL pilots, love their schedules. We get to request WHAT we want and most of the time we get it. So in fact our lines are GETTING BETTER and BETTER. Unlike ASA pilot lines. They tried using their muscle to get a pay raise and got gunned down. In fact, they lost the flying for the SKYW 900's and will lose most of the 700 flying, because of greed. Look, this goes to everyone. If you all re so ****ed off at what you are earning, go do something else. No one is stopping you. Go sell pharmaceuticals, build houses, work at McDonalds, whatever. I am so sick of hearing about crappy pay. If you can't stand the heat get out of the fire. Nuf said.
