How junior or senior is Tucson for Skywest?

Tumbleweed 06-19-2006 09:39 AM

Tucson

Tucson is a CRJ200 base and they are doing most of thier hiring into the Brasilia. If you have prior 121-experience and you were hired directly into the jet, it would probably take about a year to get Tucson. Most people that transition to the jet after a year in the Brasilia (when the seat-lock expires) don't have a problem getting Tucson. On the captain side, however, Tucson is very senior. The most junior captain was hired over 5 years ago.

Thanks for the reply. Have the 121 time. Also, have family in Tucson. Thats why I was thinking about reserve in Tucson.

Good Luck

I also have family in Tucson so I have my eye on that base too. I live up here in Phoenix so making the drive down to Tucson would be a lot nicer than flying standby to Fresno. What 121-carrier do you work for? Do you have your stuff in at SkyWest?

Otter, aren't you at Scenic?

otter 06-22-2006 07:38 PM

Scenic yes. I guess Skywest now.

CL65driver 06-22-2006 08:45 PM

Cool, congratulations on getting out of the Twotters!

otter 06-25-2006 02:31 PM

Thanks. I'm ready for something new.

Not to be rude but I don't like to say people names over the forums. PM me. Thanks........
