Aug. 7th Pinnacle Class anyone?

Hi, anyone on here going to be in the Aug 7th CRJ class at Pinnacle? I'm just interested in chatting before we go to class, and curious as to if anyone is going to stay in MEM after training and would like to split the cost of an aptartment? I found a cool place, 3 bedroom... would be arount $375 each if we had 3 people.

I wouldn't get my heart too set on that place. You're gonna be hard pressed to find ONE, if not two, first year FO's who are willing to part with that much each month

That's about what you guys bring home each month isn't it? But that's not counting per diem!!!!

sounds like you got a call....

Roger that, Supersix. They kinda had me worried for a few days. Aviationinterviews.com said that they usually call the day after. They had me sitting on pins and needles for about a week. No biggie though. They do seem like great people... yeah, the pay sucks- but what do you expect from a regional, or any carrier nowadays? Gonna have to live off the credit cards for a few more years!! :D

It is safe to say that many of us on this forum are supportive of you and others like you who are trying to make aviation your career. Whether it is medicine or law or aviation, most of us fall in the middle of the bell curve, but there are those annoying ones two or three standard deviations away from the norm who are always negative. Ignore them and focus instead on the good vibes the rest of us are sending you.

Many new lawyers starting out make very little money also, but the happiest and most well-adjusted ones are the ones who love their jobs, not the ones who bill at $350 an hour. I know because I've met them all. Treat this job as a stepping stone to bigger and better things. We all have to pay our dues somehow.

advice from a lawyer...lol

CL65driver 06-18-2006 08:30 PM

I'm usually skeptical about lawyers, but Vagabond's cool in my book! :D

There's atleast one level headed lawyer out there!

vagabond 06-18-2006 09:26 PM

Thank you, CL65driver, for your kind words.

Unfortunately, there are too many like C175 on here who experience a perverse enjoyment putting down lawyers, non-pilots and women. Some of the other threads are evident of this. I wonder what invectives can be generated if these same idiots know that I am a double minority.

You guys win - my posting days are over.
