Why is that the pilots of ASA's fault? Yeah it sucks for united, it sucks real bad. It could have been prevented years ago. At least its ASA and not GoJet or Mesa

Not saying it's any PILOT'S fault. But if I were a UAL furlough/soon to be and read your post, I would feel the 180 effect of your exuberant well wishes toward ASA thats all. The blame game is over. Just sympathy for all parties involved.

Or Pinnacle or Colgan....
By the end of 2010 I'm predicting the most junior FO at mesa will be an '05 or '06 hire. Any Acey folks looking for a place out here in Dulles? I know of a good deal on a single bedroom apartment; only $1200/month!

I know everyone is really really happy but this isn't Super good news. From what I understand Asa only got 13 of the 20 planes work and skywest airlines got NOTHING! So why exactly should I be jumping with joy? At the end of the day nothing has changed and its gotten worse for ASA. Am I missing something here?

Who peed in your cheerios? First of all it is 14 airplanes. One is a spare but you know darn well that it will get used as much as these things break. And Skywest Airlines got a huge deal basically extending their contract with UAL and allowing Inc. to have first dibs at TPs for UAL as well. That is pretty substantial and it has not gotten worse for ASA, 20 airplanes going to the desert is getting worse. So yes, you are missing something.

Seriously? How is this "worse" than those 14 (not 13) CR2's going to the desert? Also you missed the 8.4 year (avg) extension and last right options plus the great ROI that SKW secured.........WOW. Wow, you're right, nothing has changed......

I’m not the only one at SKW or anywhere else whose wondering when you plan on eating your young.

CONGRATS ASA!

Now we all need to focus on educating the SKW guys on why legal representation by ALPA (or another union) is their only defense against INC.
