As for SKW signing an agreement with AT? I seriously doubt it.

Keep it ALL in-house airTran!!!!

Not going to happen, folks...especially with the trouble they are dealing with vacating the base now. Seriously, AirTran?! Who pulled THAT out of their butt LoL

flyboyzz1 11-04-2009 06:58 AM

what trouble are you talking about?

JetJock16 11-04-2009 07:31 AM

What trouble? I jumpseat airTran every week and this is news to me. Also remember they're short staffed and one of the hand full of carriers turning a profit all while directly competeing with DAL and SWA. That's impressive in my book.

It was just announced. Skywest flying 5 CRJ-200s for AirTran, based in MKE...

AirTran Airways - Press Release

Can someone explain exactly whats going on? From the press release it sounds like they won't be acting as an AirTran feeder, but moreso a standalone Skywest Airlines branded operation flying in support of, and sharing profits/losses, with AirTran.

The funniest part is how many people KNEW there was no way this would happen.

viper548 11-04-2009 08:23 AM

It's "at risk" flying, so essentially it's a code share
