Delta/ASA Jumpseat?

Hey wondering what the jumpseat policy for delta is...ive heard only one jumpseat per plane no matter how many open seats are available. Needed to jumspeat from CSG to ATL. I am going to speak with jumpseat coordinator hopefully monday, but would like some info as well for this community. And if it is one jumpesat per plane does the captain really adhere to this policy if it even exists? Thanks for input

I jumpseat on Delta all the time, along with many other jumpseaters. I have never heard of there being a limit. I think ASA does CSG to ATL.

Delta should have unlimited jumpseats, unlike other AAirlines.

Not sure when it changed but back in 2002-2003ish both DAL and UAL would only take 1 off line jumpseater at a time no matter how many seats were in the back. Got left behind by a UAL guy and the last flight of the day with 73 open seats in the back. Told me he already had a jumpseater then asked me when the next flight was. Told him it was the next morning and he told me good luck. Anyways I haven't heard stories like mine for a few years now.

Juice said it best, unlimited domestic and INTERNATIONAL JUMPSEATS on Delta/ASA. I tried to jumpseat from DFW to MTY (MMMY) with 90 seats open in the back, I was told to go buy a zed fare 15 minutes prior to door closing.

Around early 2005 is when the 1 jumpseat limit was lifted at DL.

For many years... I want to say this changed in the 1996 contract.... they didn't have any right even to their own jumpseat.

To clarify, for UAL at least, it was as many JS'ers as JS's installed on the aircraft.

ASA offers an unlimited jumpseat policy. ATL-CSG is operated on their metal.
