Longest CRJ-200 flights

Was riding in a CRJ-200 the other day and in my pain and agony of enduring such an event, I got to thinking.... what are the longest CRJ-200 flights out there for each of everyone's airlines?? Curious both in distance and block time...

Personally, 1.5hr an 250nm seems like a reasonable max to me, but then again, I'm not a beancounter or scope-buster.

I think Mesaba used to do MSP-HPN... thats 887nm!

250nm in any rj is far short of 1.5 hr.

I used to ride on a mesa 200 from DAB-IAD, close to 2hrs. I know there are longer flights out there, but that one seemed way to long to be in a rj for me. Probably why it was so short lived.

Like any other jet, they are more efficient on longer legs...more time getting good gas mileage in the flight levels to offset all the fuel burned in the climb.

When I was at Mesa, we used to do IAD-MSP. I remember thinking, if I am uncomfortable up here, how bad is it in the back! On a related note, we also used to do RDU-DEN or COS, can't remember which, and basically required a top off in fuel if the winds were bad.

PHL-MCI...it's blocked at 3:36. The longest I have actually done however was 4:30. MCI-ORF, 2 windshear escapes followed by a diversion to PHL.

Yup! I 've had the 4:30 from BOS-MEM with 150 knot headwind. NOT FUN!

I did a mtc repo from ATL-TUC a few months ago, but I don't think that counts. It's like 1400 miles.
