Flight Kits/Cases with Wheels & Handle?

What is the deal with this? Why are people using these? The only excusable reason I could see for something like this is if it were a female pilot and she was pregnant.

I see European pilots do this; looks effeminate if nothing else.

loading DC9's ruined my back

I remember flying with a guy who's dad was a UAL pilot when rollerboards hit the scene. Same BS... real men carry their bags. Now, it would look bizarre to see a pilot carrying one.

My flight case is heavy, and I'd prefer wheels. Most of the time, I don't have an overnight bag to strap it to, so it gets carried.

Are you kidding me, couldn't you find something else to complain about. I had one I rarely rolled it... but I couldn't afford one of your official flight cases.. and it happened to be the biggest one I could find. I fit POH, FOM, MEL, 2 Jepp binders. a laptop my headsets and much more in it. It was the best flight case I have ever had.

Solo Rolling Catalog Case

Piper,

I am not complaining. I was making a topic for discussion.

Sure seemed to me like you were trolling.

I have something to complain about. Why are we not marching down the terminals? Why do we just walk like the rest of the common folk?

Just kidding...actually, I think we should all put wheels on our shoes and roll around the terminal with our wheeled flight cases. :D:D:D

I would have loved to have had a rolling Jepp case when I was carrying 8 Jepp books around.

I've got a Scott Flight case. With everything, it weighs 40lbs. After carrying it for a mile, it starts to get a little heavy. I bought some "weenie wheels" for when I do locals. You can think its the gayest thing ever, I don't care.

I think the guys who have those rolling flight cases are awsome. I mean really, someone has to be out there making the rest of us look cool.

Thank you very much sir. This is such an interesting an intriguing topic. Please start more threads like this one. I don't know....something like; "What is the deal with pilots using the European straight lace style on their shoes?"
