Default AWAC upgrade time

Can anyone tell me what the estimated upgrade time is at AWAC for a new-hire?

I have the chance to interview with them but can't find any info on time to upgrade.

Thanks.

I applied about 2 - 2.5 months prior to receiving an interview date.

Upgrade as of today today is about 2.5 years, but then again about 25% of the pilot group quit in the last 12 months. 10-15 captains have been leaving every month, along with 5 or so FOs.

Past results do not indicate future performance.

Good luck in your interview!

Great Point! Current "Most junior Captain hired" dates are useful but not completely indicative of what will happen in the future. My buddy got hired with Colgan and when he got on the upgrade time was 11 months. Now its around 1.5 years I believe

Again, Good luck in the interview

I have a class date with Colgan as we speak. I am just debating which airline I would prefer to work for, AWAC or Colgan. I'm leaning towards Colgan.

Also upgrades are now about 12 months in the 1900 and 24 in the Saab.

i would personally be leaning towards AWAC (ALOT), but that's just me.

With a statement like that, this *might* not be the best place for you then.

Upgrade time has dropped despite the company downsizing (loss of 16 BAE-146 aircraft) due to ridiculous attrition numbers. If attrition slows and the company doesn't grow, upgrades could increase to 4-5 years. At least when/if that happens you'd actually be able to comfortably support a family and make a mortgage payment while an FO at Air Wisconsin; the same cannot be said at many other carriers.

Good luck with the process, however it sounds like if faced with two offers your mind is made up.
