Yeah, do not go to an airline job interview in which if nothing else, you will gain experience on airline interviewing. And if they offer you a job, dont take it because working at Colgan brings everyone down. You should not do what is best for you but what is best for the entire industry.

newarkblows 02-17-2010 08:16 AM

or ... maybe they would wise up and realize that Colgan will not treat them like professionals. Home depot and Mcdonalds are hiring.... both pay more then first year FO at Colgan. Sad but true.

Spoken like someone who has a seat to sit in. Or two

Really, you don't want to come here. Things are only getting worst with no signs of getting better anytime soon.

By your statement I'm guessing your are not involved in CJC ALPA. If this is truly how you feel then maybe you'd like to get involved in your union and start helping out. We can use all the help we can get to continue to improve our company day by day. :)

I say again wise up and don't go. When I didn't have a airline job I never applied to Colgan it really never crossed my mind.

To each their own...

Tell us what else you do not do so we can all make sure not to do it as well.

ChipChelios 02-17-2010 05:07 PM

Those who are not happy should by all means leave. Those who want to give it a try, go for it. It's no one elses business. If it does not work for you then leave. No one is holding anyone hostage at Colgan.

Those who care enough to post the same crap over and over and over and over and over and think they are helping anyone should give their computer a rest and get some sort of other hobby. I highly recommend flying RC jets. It's better then trying to start an online intervention with every Colgan applicant that you can find!

They did when I got hired but word is they dont anymore.

ChipChelios 02-18-2010 05:35 AM

I heard there was no longer a training contract as well. During my first year, I kept it handy just in case I ran out of toilet paper.
