Republic Airways Announces Order for up to 80 Bombardier CSeries Aircraft
INDIANAPOLIS, Feb 25, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Republic Airways Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: RJET) announced today it has signed a purchase agreement for 40 CS300 jets, part of the next-generation CSeries aircraft being developed by Bombardier. Republic also has options for up to an additional 40 aircraft. The aircraft, which will be configured in a single-cabin, with two-by-three seating for 138 passengers, including 25 STRETCH seats, is scheduled for delivery beginning in the second quarter of 2015.
The aircraft are powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1000G engines. Republic has signed an exclusive 15-year PureSolution maintenance contract with Pratt & Whitney for the support of the engines.

"This aircraft will bring next-generation advantages to all phases of its mission, including passenger comfort, dependability, efficiency and economics."

A319/320 size aircraft so hopefully there will be YR 2015 equivalent major standard (or better) pay on it when the union negotiates this aircraft into the payscales.

I look forward to seeing what the future holds and will work as hard as possible to do my part in making sure we get a great contract that can be respected in this industry.

Then Dump your Union and start your own...its probably the only chance you guys have a decent contract

Has there been any talks of you guys just operating Midwest and Frontier airplanes after your contracts expire? I have a hard time believing that the majors will continue to use you guys if you are directly competing against them...just doesnt make sense to me

no you haven't. It is still the garbage haulers union. You just rearranged the same union to make it look new. You still have many of the same retards in many leadership positions.

Changing the number of the local is not changing your union. IBT is the problem not the local 747 number.
