The current vacancy bid closes at the end of the month so it won't be clear what positions are open for the August 1st class. But they are very short on the jet. So unless you're in your early 20's I'll bet most go to the ERJ.

And even if you do get SJU ATR remember to put your bid in for a different base. Some guys only spend a month or two in base before transferring.

Good luck.

TC
Thanks that's good to know. I just think the commute from S. FL where I live would be tough. I'm 29 so I guess I see what happens.

The last I heard from the schoolhouse rumors is that all hiring right now is going to the jet. They're to short staffed. So, if thats still the case, or true there will not be any ATR given out in class.

FYI the july 5 class 4
"LGA CRJ
4 ORD CRJ
6 DFW EMJ
1 JFK EMJ
2 LGA EMJ
19 ORD EMJ

The first 6 people all picked Dallas right off the bat. No ATR's."

I'll be in the Aug 1 class too. I don't mind flying the ATR, in fact I think a TProp would be a blast for a year while I ride the seat lock. I just don't want to live in SJU (PIREP from another Eagle guy who did that). I live in ORD and I heard ORD-DFW is an impossible commute. I wonder if ORD-MIA is any easier.

Where are you getting those numbers, because I just did a 3U and I a 08 hire I am 41 out of 69 in base.

What is the format for the 3u entry? Can you check future months?

Thanks,

TC

3U/BASE/SEAT/EQUIPMENT/D for future months you can go through the flow plan to get an idea.

He might be around the 50 to 60s.

that is right now, there are about 27 new hires coming out of training over the next 2 months for mia emj, plus another 15 transferring down. Go on the union seniority tool from June 1st and look where your seniority number would put you, then go look at the july flow plan and factor those additional people in to your position. I bet you would be like 30 of 80.
Is not How much are below you, is how much above you transfer to another base.

I don't want to be pessimist, but I don't think my number in MIA will go above 40 in the next six months. So in the mean time I'll stay in ORD which the movement is better. Currently 257 of 298.

SJU is a great place to go for a year.. the schedules are a lot worse than before but still.. it's the Caribbean and when else are you gonna get to do that. I guess if you hate going surfing and hanging out on the beach every day it would suck.

ORD-DFW is impossible. The flight are ALWAYS full, and there is a LOT of crewmembers going back and forth for training every day, AA and AE.. and they will all be senior to you so you will never get the jumpseat.

ORD-MIA is terrible also, not as bad as ORD-DFW but almost.

ATR Miami

Am I reading this right?

27 lines for Miami? That's down 2 from last month. Now how many folks are going to be on reserve?

I tried taking a look at the flow plan and cant make any sense of it... is there anything on jetnet that explains it?

When it says "xxx number holding bid status" does that just mean the number who CAN bid, or those who bid and hold a line?
