The ground postions are "outsourced" because it's not a "Delta Crew" running the operation. They are not on the Delta Payroll. View them as a regional airline, you may wear the colours but in the end, you're not mainline. Do I feel bad that people are losing there jobs? Yes. I have friends who work at CVG and I know people who have been F'd from OH.

Relax.

It's just my observation.

Oh, I'm relaxed man, just trying to clarify. And I respect your observations. Mainline? No. But, I would argue that when Daddy Delta controls the budget, size of the operation and has the final say on how RS is run, these jobs are if not "Delta" jobs, are directly affected by Delta and it's decisions. Something that was not supposed to happen as the result of the merger. And again, I was under the impression that you were referencing the RS jobs lost. If I misconstrued your intent, apologies.

Cheers,

It's all one big shell game... no "Delta" jobs will be lost... sure wholly owned delta companies may lose jobs as a result of the merger but nobody who's paycheck directly says Delta... yet.

It's all good man, this industry is messed up. Pretty soon there will only be one airline. In communist Russia, plane pilots you!
