Any insiders who can guesstimate how long it might take to get MIA?

MIA ATR is junior on the RSV side. I know a few in last weeks class were there. Only way to get there is too be hired into the ATR (likely) or displaced from a jet to the ATR (could take a while).

Thanks, guys. If you start in the ATR, how long before you can transition to the jet?

Normally, a one-year seat lock. After that, it becomes a matter of seniority. Another reason to get in on the ground floor of any hiring phase. Those who come in first and complete their seat lock are most likely to get the jet. Those at the tail end of a hiring phase could easily be stuck in seat and aircraft for an extended period of time.

What Beagle said,
ALso guys / girls there are two other very informational threads on Eagle hiring, hiring trends, bases, etc... If not there check out www.airlinepilotcentral.com go into the national/LCC section. To answer the original posters question most will be going to the jet from here on out (after Mar 29). If there is a vacancy bid and the original two guys (who are finishing up training) get to proffer for the jet then maybe some more ATR spots will open. I don't see this happening as they are seat locked until next year however, being they have the highest seniority out of all new hires Beagle's statement answers the rest. Read and post on the other forums (EAGLE HIRING) and your questions will be answered!
