XJT help

Morning,

Here is my situation. I have 660TT and 150ME and I applied to XJT 2 months ago and they told me i need more recent multi time. I only had 16 in the last 6 months. I am thinking of applying next month but i still have only 16 ME in 6 months. Thinking of buying some time. From your experience what is a good number that XJT likes for recent ME time? Thanks

Hey buffalo,
Don't remember what I had or most people had when I got hired nor have I heard anything about what they consider a "good" number. A lot of guys in my class (myself included) were doing a lot of multi instruction in light twins. There were a few cargo guys flying barons and the like and then a few corporate guys. So lots of ME experience. But realistically, 16 ME in 6 months is pretty low. If you have an MEI, have you considered going to a few flight schools around where you live to pick up multi students? Or find a friend who is also looking to build multi-time and go find a cheap seminole or 310 and split it. Go out and burn a few hours each weekend and you'll double your ME experience in the last 6 mos pretty quick.

appreciate the response, i am planning on buying 30 hours so that will give me 46 ME in the last 6 months. Hope that will do the trick!

Hey,

I spoke with the DO of the company and they are looking for 100 hrs ME withing 6 months. The reason is people with lower times were failing checkrides. Go out there and get your self 100 Hrs ME and reapply. This is the best of the best companies out there. Good luck...

OK i guess i need to buy 84 hours. Any idea what they think about the RJ course at ATP instead of 100 hrs multi in 6 months?
