Too bad they will take the frontier name and destroy it in the end. In the future F9 will disappear and all these guys will be trying to figure out how to jump into the front of the line somewhere else down the road. L |

If there is such a thing as "SJS". Its genesis could very well be laid at the feet of this operation. So many jobs taken for so much greed, in an attempt to be perceived as the pilots of the company they are imitating. Too bad they were not willing to imitate the pay scales and work rules also! Justice of seeing their contracts with the majors not renewed would just be too good to be true.

I don't agree with that. JetBlast7 is correct. RAH represents a danger to the industry which must fail. The 2003 contract was signed with future 99 seat expansions in mind so the "we didn't know" is not valid. I think everyone, including RAH pilots know that they won't be getting anything close to what Jetblue has. I think you are the one that is naive if you think otherwise. I'm going to venture to say that the majority don't care either. And the conduct on these boards as well in real life only affirms the reputation of post merger RAH pilots.
I have to agree with this posting too. In my opinion, Republic IBT is a new blue collar generation of pilots that will undermine our profession to keep a $50,000 job. IBT national lost the auto industry to outsourcing and it is now targeting airline pilots/flight attendants to increase its membership. It seems like the war between ALPA, AFA and IBT started with Midwest pilots/Flight attendants. |

Don't take it too personally. My company has been on the wish list for many years. In fact our time on the wish list has been at the expense of some from your company that liked to put "guppy killer" stickers on their flight bags, deny our pilots Jumpseats on airplanes with OUR paint job on them. So please forgive us if you suffer some level of demise as you have heaped a whole load of fecal material on our pilot group since 9/11.
With hope that our merger with CO yields their scope clause. Perhaps we can see more and more of the parasitic operations disappear. Sorry junior, it is only business. You have your new airline to go play with and I hope soon enough you guys are all devoted to that "operation" and out of ours. L Republic chief executive Bryan Bedford said the impact of the proposed United-Continental merger "could be a positive" if the combined airline uses United pilots' agreement that allows more outsourced fixed-fee flying than Continental's. Republic's contracts with United are not cancelable, Bedford said, and phase out between 2015 and 2019." Positive for RAH, bad for anyone who dreamed of actually having a career in this industry. |
At some point you will all realize there isn't much of a career left, and it didn't start going downhill because RAH came along. All of this can be attributed to the series of missteps taken by pilots who saw fit to pull the ladder up behind them and squat on the guys trying to follow. You relaxed scope to maintain a $3 an hour pay raise that you ultimately lost in bankruptcy. You all sold your jobs away to try and make $300K and now decry the very operations you created. And now I'm sure CAL will be subjected to the same pathetic scope clause United has...but it will be the regional pilots who take all the blame.

L[/quote] This would be a great comment if it wasn't so weaksauce (with exception of destroying the Frontier name - can't say there is a lot a confidence in NOT destroying it...). Personal attacks on the work group are ridiculous when anyone with half a thought understands they would be doing the exact same thing under the same conditions. It's always great to be an armchair quarterback. Whatever. |
