They are a Canadian airline that flys to CYTZ (Toronto City Center)

Porter is a regional that has been rapidly expanding. They currently have twenty Q400s. There is no shortage of pilot applicants at the airline and they have been hiring; lots of ex-Zoom, C3 and Skyservice guys are there. The low time guys in classes have been coming from other regionals such as Wasaya and Georgian.

Porter was recently going to be taken public but at the last minute those plans were put on hold citing market volotilty. Porter does have high operating costs and are not yet making a profit but they do have a low break-even margin. Something like 49% is what I read somewhere.

They do offer a good product and are very convienient alternative to Torontonians by operating out of the island.
