Good thing it wasn't my flight, I wouldn't have let you on. Until you trimmed your chest hair.

Hey Kenny. I was the First Officer on that flight. I'm glad we were able to get you on. The captain is certainly tops. We took a delay on that flight (missed an on-time by 1 minutes) but she didn't care. Every chief pilot at Skywest would back her on that decision anyway. And if they don't, we still would take a delay to get a pilot on.

The captain and I are both commuters...so we get it.

Besides, the delay falls entirely on the gate agent. If she would have done her job as a customer service agent is supposed to, there wouldn't have been any issues.

We as pilots have to look out for one another in this business. Lord knows the gate agents usually don't.

Thanks for the shout...

Regards,
Chris

Great story! As a commuter I always try to help the little I get to and appreciate when the captain comes up and tells the gate that EVERY seat including the jumpseat will be occupied.
