as I Comair guy who is JFK based (until sept. 1st). I'll I can say is good luck, it certainly isn't an easy place to be based. That said you will make great friends, have some great expires, and learn how awesome Jetblue is, and how to make sure jumpseaters get on (you and your fellow pilots will really, really, really not want to get stuck in JFK.)

Crashpads are anywhere from 165ish (for hot bunks 8 people per room) to 275 (for muy fancy)

If anyone needs more info, please feel to PM

Looks like since 9E is 'short staffed', none of the bases will shrink terribly. There are scheduled to be 60 new hires coming online by the end of the year. No anticipated displacements.

Also, I found a nice crashpad for $150ish if you are interseted PM me...

How much is it for a 1 bedroom in a safe neighborhood? $1500 a month? Whats the take home of a junior Pinnacle Fo a month? 2000? You guys going to account for this in your next contract?

2000 would be a dream for our new hires. First year guarantee is 1575 a month and second year is 1800. You make the big jump all the way to 2250 a month for third year though.

I need another beer after thinking about that. This place blows :(

Doesn't sound like too much to ask for, enough money to live in a 1 bedroom in a safe neighborhood, does it?

I really enjoyed my stint in JFK. Easy commute for most, with 3 major airports to fly into. No commuter car required. Affordable crashpads. Awesome food and bars. I recommend Kew Gardens area.
