recalls

how much traction does this rumour have? Have any numbers for the recall been thrown out there? I wouldn't want to leave my management job to sit reserve.

Oh recalls at TSA...remember that time when they recalled all of us back in November?

Oh the memories.

Probably so he can furlough again. He likes to do that.

Well, even flying for Hulas is better than locating underground power lines for $11 an hour. Although at this point, I can't believe that he would recall anytime soon. And all of the furloughed TSA guys at Compass got there before Uncle H bought them. I have been trying like crazy to get anything going there, so far, nothing. So, I guess you can check me as one dumb b*****d that would accept a recall if it ever comes.......for real this time.

We've had quite a few CAs leave lately...

sooner or later we'll go from our current overstaffed situation to understaffed.

TSA....ahhh, how that feels like ancient history now. Been 20 months now since my last flight for them. I don't miss TSA at all, but I do sort of miss the flying for a living thing - but not really. :)

Interesting timing because tomorrow is my first day back at a normal job. Sitting at a desk, crunching numbers again. I thought I'd escaped that when things in the airlines looked like they were looking up nearly 3 years ago. But, I am looking forward to a steady schedule, nights and weekends at home, and twice the pay. My wife just got news of a promotion as well, so compared to what we've ever made before, we'll be raking it in for a while - a welcomed change to the last nearly 4 years of regional life, followed by my going back to school full time, followed by 5 months of unemployment.

I am convinced that I suffer from "grass-is-greener-on-the-other-side-itis". When I flew for TSA, I wanted to be doing something else. Now that I don't, I sort of strangely want it again.

But for the first time ever, I am quickly putting my ducks in a row to purchase my first airplane. Still several months out, but I think that freedom to fly, coupled with the income to pay for it, will find me in a happier place. We'll see.

Good luck to all those sticking it out - if a recall comes at all.

Welcome to the disease that is aviation. :D

Good luck with that airplane, & your new career. Cheers :)
