Pinnacle commuting

If I work for Pinnacle and I dont live in an area that Pinnacle serves but where Northwest does, can I commute to work on Northwest?

As a 121 pilot, you can "commute" on any airline that has a jumpseat agreement with your company.

The issue that comes into play is what happens when you are unable to commute due to full flights. Some companies have "commuter clauses" that cover your absence, provided that you meet certain requirements.

I don't know what PCL's policy is towards missed assignments due to commuting, but the typical clause is that you must be listed on and attempt to make at least two company flights that put you in base by your show time. For some "express" carriers, you can include the mainline flights as a "company" flight.

how can I find out who Pinnacle has jumpseat agreements with?

They are a CASS participant. Just look up the list.

If you can't find the list, simply put any large part 121 operation likely has reciprocal agreements with every other large part 121 operation.

I'm guessing but, PCL pilots can probably jumpseat on United, USAirways, Northwest, Delta, Continental, JetBlue, Air Tran, Southwest, Alaska, America West, and all of their various express carriers plus some smaller regional airlines, cargo, and even possibly part 135 operators.

As a former Pinnacle capt that commuted to MeM and MSP on mainline you can do it, commute that is. U can get the list of cass from the jumpseat chairman in the union or ask the FO rep to give the JSC's number.
