Bad Day - Worse Day (trip) trade at ASA?

can someone shed some light on trip trades at ASA. Are you allowed to make bad day worse day trades?

For example:

Let's say you have a 4 day starting on the 20th, and the reserve level for each day of that trip is as follows: -2, -1, 0, 0

and let's say there is a one day trip on the 17th, with a -5 reserve level.

would you be able to trade the 4 day on the 20th for the 1 day on the 17th based on bad day/worse day trade?

I was told that you guys now have moved to pbs? Excuse my ignorance as I do not know anything about pbs, so if you could shed some light on how trades are made, I would be grateful.

We have a PBS LOA, but PBS is not functional at this point. We still have a few months before the FLICA people figure it out.

Also, the current system compares the average reserve coverage of current open time for the entire length of the trip in question. If the average reserve coverage is greater after the proposed swap, then it will be awarded.

The system automatically spits out crap like this after a denial:

Insufficient Reserve Staffing; Reserve Analysis Details: Date,MinimumReserves,NumReserves,NumOTTrips,NetOTC hange,NetReservesBefore,RelativeReservesBefore,Net ReservesAfter,RelativeReservesAfter,ReservePCTBefo re,ReservePCTAfter 2010-09-14,15,14,1,1,13,-2,12,-3,-13.33%,-20% AvgBefore=-13.33% AvgAfter=-20%

Does that help?

Basically what he is saying is, at XJT we can no longer trade bad days for worse days as far as reserve coverage. Our company has taken that away from us. It used to be a great way to better your schedule....not anymore. Hopefully when we become one big happy family, this **** gets fixed.

Same at ASA, the company has short staffed us so very little if any trades due to low reserve coverage. Low coverage shows up as a RED ARROW on the calendar, and EVERY day of October is RED.

So then we are both getting the same treatment. We should be a good fit then.
