How bad was 9E's ontime performance?
I heard from the Base managers office that the real reason the contract got signed was that Pinnacle's contract with Delta was on the chopping block again due to low ontime performance numbers. Last time this happened, we were in the same boat with Mesa. Mesa sued Delta, and lost. Pinnacle, worked out a deal and survived. Looks like this time, it was more of a "better treat your people right or you wont have any people to treat at all, get your airline together!!" type of deal.
I didn't get any specifics on just how low the numbers were. This doesn't surprise me at all. Pinnacle management pushed the contract talks waaaay too far. Doing so, it really demoralized the pilot group to the point where they just didn't care anymore about being ontime. The contract talks just took the energy and spirit away from everyone. Does anyone have any specific numbers on D0, A0 and a14 for the months of Sep, Oct and Nov?.......and by the way, I heard the first half of December was terrible..... |
You have to come to a public forum to get your company's performance numbers? Really?

Keep up the good work. Fly safe, very safe.

Everyones' numbers are brutal for December thanks to that massive snowstorm that basically shut down MSP then the next day greatly hampered DTW. And thanks to the Delta way of everyone goes everywhere, everyone took damage from that storm.

Performance numbers are no longer disclosed to us unless you are at a company computer in the crew room; there is a daily performance monitor we can see. But there is no recorded history of numbers we can look into. The only score we are given is a color code in our weekly newsletters. Green = At or Above goal. Red = Below goal. Lately they have been all red.
Also, Delta publishes all the stats on their website as well. Every DCI carriers stats are listed. Low performance is not why management gave us a TA... |

But the truth is, performance has been terrible to the point where Pinnacle is on the verge of defaulting on their contract and being in jeopardy with Delta. Hopefully management hasn't pushed things too far and a recovery is possible. |

No intent to spread "fact-less rumors" as you put it. I do know that they recently had some meetings over on nonconnah to address this.
Airlines that carry less than 1% of the total passenger traffic are not required to report their ontime performance. When you look up the performance for PNCL you will only find PRASM, CASM and RASM. If you have some further knowledge, why not share the stats instead of being a panzy! The original intent of this thread was to gather knowledge. |
