That will go over well when SEA, PDX, and GEG are all fogged in.

SkyWest would never train all our Pilots (and they'd have to) to Cat III for just a few aircraft in the PNW...

Sh!t, that's right...I wonder if the SKW Bro pilots based out of PDX know about this?

They do. A couple of weeks ago a handful of SEA-PDX and SEA-GEG Bro flights canceled due to fog. The QX flights went. Just like the Fresno pilots who haven't gotten in to FAT the last week due to the Tule fog.

I have continuously heard that the staffing is very thin for FO's. With the addition of IAH, MSP, and a few Alaska routes, what kind of hiring projections seem likely for 2011? I know Skywest is currently hiring, but will the trend continue for a while?

400 this year.. +30 month. With upgrades and transitions, training Dept will be busy.

It seems like this may be true, but can you really substantiate that? All I've seen are rumors and the occasional carrot from KB. I miss the days of BH's emails with hard numbers and facts.

Since theres only 10 months left, 30 a month does not quite get you to 400. Then with interviews and background checks we'll say 9 months at best, so 30x9=270, but most likely 8x30=240
