Hi all, I've been trolling these threads for quite a while now, but first time posting. Got an interview with Colgan this upcoming Tuesday, curious to hear what other people's experiences have been at the interviews this past week and the week before, also anyone else heading up there next week?
Thanks!

Who did they hear this from? I just have to doubt the validity of "someone told someone who told me..." about anything. And what does "primarily" mean? 20 of 24? 14 of 24? There was also a rumor floating around about two separate classes starting two separate days (like the 11th and 14th) for each plane. Nothing against the Saab, but the second year pay really diverges. Either way, I'm hard pressed to believe anything until the end of the first week in Memphis when the bids drop for real.

Very true sir, just heard the latest from a guy who interviewed on tuesday and was told that during the presentation. Just was wondering if anyone has heard differently.

Well in my presentation they said it would be a mixed class, but they didn't specify more of one or the other. I wouldn't doubt it being weighted towards the Saab because I heard the last one was all Q due to no shows, and I'm sure they're constantly revising the plans as the date nears...

I'd still really like the Q. What was the count, at least 4 of you that are younger than me? ;)

my friend and I were both told in the interview that they would put the guys in the q who had the most hours not by age. I dont know if this is true or not but thats what the guys said. not that it matters though.

Right, just more reasons why no one will really have any idea until after next week. I exchanged a few emails with the EWR Q captain in the interview (RD), and he said the way split classes usually go is you're all together during indoc, and then at the end of the week you bid for aircraft based on seniority which goes by age. They could conceivably be switching things up for some reason, but I don't know why they would. I just want to know one way or the other.

Did he mention how many Qs vs Saab? Or guesstimate

Welcome to the Colgan training department. You won't know anything until last minute throughout the whole process. Such as when certain training will be ie door pulls up in EWR or IAH, or when your oral will be or when your sims will be, or IOE, base orientation, observation flights, etc. etc... This will just start getting you use to how things will be...
