Jake...Don't worry about the negativity you're reading here. Go in, do your best, and keep your head on your shoulders. End of story!
Look forward to flying with ya soon! Or possibly doing your OE (operating experience)

I'd be interested to know what the process is these days now that Mesaba is doing most of the process. Let us know how it goes :)

Interviewed yesterday, nicest group of people you'd want to meet. Today I got the phone call and email for the 3-14 class, needless to say I am stoked! Obligitory ATP exam with 25 questions, study your holding entries and Jepp charts as you will have three opportunities to explain these, as well as basic runway markings and airport signage. HR was straight forward, make certain that your paperwork is in order and everything signed. She also likes individual copies of certificates, not all on one sheet. The check airman will examine your tickets very closely, as well as checkrides you've tabbed in your logbook. They both ask questions and both write down your responses, no tricks, just straight forward, "what brought you here, tell me about yourself".
The sim is in the AST300 with a C-402 Gold Crown panel, very straight forward with basic instrument flying, a steep turn, and orientation from a VOR, vectors to the ILS. You'll use the KNS-80 RNAV to tune your frequencies, the first digit "1" is burned out, btw. Ross is the check airman, nice man and again no tricks here. No score or comment on your ride is given as notes are compared after you leave for the day. If conditional offer is given, voucher is given to the drug test place and to the airport. Tip:There is no water or liquids available at the drug test place so if you need to go before the sim ride, wait as one applicant found out the hard way. Best of luck!
