SkyWest app question
Just wondering if any SkyWest applicants have received a "thanks, but no thanks" letter or email after applying. I am a former FO there and re-applied last October but have not heard anything from them. It may be a case of no news is good news, or do they leave you hanging indefinitely.
Eagle has been known to give a courtesy email stating that your app is not going to be considered. Does SkyWest have a similar correspondence? |
Don't mind me, but when / why did you leave SkyWest?
|
I didn't receive any email. I called them to follow up on the application, they HR lady said everything looked good and I would be contacted to schedule and interview. I never heard anything back. This was about a month ago. Anyone had a similar experience.

Were you the person givin a choice of your job or family because they wouldn't grant you time off, because you didn't have any pto available?

Wow, they couldn't give you FMLA or at least a personal leave?

The question in the first post asks about correspondence.
Only Van Driver posted a serious answer. The rest is my business, and SkyWest can do as they please with the app. Quit throwing stones |

If you get one don't think too hard about it. I interviewed with one other person that had formally worked at SkyWest. |

Oddly enough, the only person who could have known any information about my situation at SKW was the SLC chief pilot. Unless my personal information went public, I would like to introduce all the ladies and gents on this forum to your SKW Salt Lake City Chief Pilot. I really like that you started a new profile just to respond to this post. CYA lately? Beware folks, they are watching...... |
Rickair7777's right, in 08 SKW was granting a year leave to every Tom, Dick and Harry who applied.
Wash out, your business is your business but remember most everyone here has good intentions. You are reading too much into their postings and in doing so you’re presenting a poor image of yourself. Good day. |

Update your Airline Apps quite often, but touch base with the associated points of contact at the airline (at Eagle I want to say it's [email protected]) just saying you've updated your application and attach a current copy of your resume.
In my experience, the people who make themselves known outside of the normal online application process, be it through job fairs, email contacts, inside references, etc. are the ones that typically get quicker results. |
