Anyone know pay/days off/QOL/requirements/etc...for the CRJ instructor positions showing on company website?

Have you flown the CRJ before?

I was down in MEM about 2 weeks ago... the way we are hiring and upgrading I wouldnt expect the QOL to be very good. Some of the guys are going back to the line because they are tired of doing 3 sims at 4am and then a 11pm. They're running the instructors ragged.

QOL is good. I don't know any instructors going back to the line b/c they are burned out. The one's I talk to every day love it.

Most of the positions came from instructors going to FedEx. Strange days here at Pinnacle.

The current crop of professional instructors can't go to the line because they aren't pilots on the seniority list. I don't know if newhire instructors will be put on the list, but if they aren't then they are very limited in what they can do. Namely the first few initial sims, as well as CPT's and maybe lofts too.

What SIm Instructors went to Fed Ex

The two responses about QOL seem contradictory......Are the instructors going to FedEx planning on going thru to the line over there?

I know Nate went and I think Eric might be going.....2 of our best professional instructors (IMHO). They are going as instructors...not to fly.

I told a buddy of mine to apply for an FO position and he was hired in two weeks. However.....it'll be late July or Aug before he gets a class because we don't have Prof. Instructors. The PI's can do the 1st 4 sims I think.....then the Line Check Airmen do the last 4 and your checkride. The PI's can also do your LOFT after your checkride.
