No matter who's elected. The environment, which was status quo at 9E in the past, will not be the same going forward. The new membership, will not let that occur. We have an opportunity to bring this carrier together to be one of the best regional airlines in the nation. Let's not fail in doing so.

I don't care who we get as long as the reps know that a union is there to protect me from the company, not from my own free will. You can also be sure if you are elected we will hold you to a high standard. Make a decision not in concert with the group you represent and you will find yourself off the union quickly.

I think I can agree with this, so long as your free will doesn't mess with my seniority. We have a seniority system, not a free will system. This is why we sign a COLLECTIVE bargaining agreement. But, yes, the reps need to be accountable and responsive to the groups needs.

except when it is repeatedly stolen through sham bankruptcy (ok that was more a stealing of longevity) unportability of any of said stolent longevity, and highly questionable arbitration thoery.

Nothing happened here that did not happen at DAL/NWA, and that integration was considered a success. I know that doesn't ease the pain that individuals felt due to a Status/Category integration, but I do realize that each list has individuals that are feeling huge losses. I won't say or even imply that this integration was a "successful" one, but it was not a failure either. We need to move on, the complaining of individual pains felt, will only serve to divide us.

I guess, but it is the same group that has been screwed over and over here, The worst 4 years to be hired in the history of this company is 01 to 05. Also I believe nobody on the DAL/NWA lists moved more than 4% relatively, Many in this merger moved double digit percentages.

99 hasn't been a picnic by any means, but we came out good on this one. I do feel for you guys though.

I just want us to move forward, and I can just see the uphill unity battles due to "we were stapled", "the staffing model/fences screwed us", and "I got NO raise, and lost in SLI" snide comments being injected. The methodology screwed all the groups here. An accepted methodology, which has been touted "successful" in the past, and was fought for by one of our merging groups.

The following is not guided towards you Avroman, just my rambling...
So we're at a divergence here... We can keep complaining, arguing, and mistreating each other due to our pre merger and integration statuses, which will most likely put us into a USAir like infighting and will make it impossible to effectively deal with issues moving forward. Or we can take a higher road, realize that it is what it is, and that arguing it could make it worse than what we have now, and move forward. Treating each other with respect, (no denying jumpseat due to pre merger status, which may have happened recently) and come together as a cohesive and effective group. The choice is ours, and it's a choice we each individually control by our actions.

I can assure you (and all commuters) my 1 or 2 jumpseats are open to all. As to moving forward, my resume is out and being kept updated. I'd be thrilled to give up my number (new or old) to anyone that wants it, I just need someone at DL, SW, AA, ect, to finally decide to retire without management then outsourcing that spot.
