Any thoughts on when we might see a mcb? Or at least some vacancies?

One just closed for Colgan FO's last week. Captains or Multi Class bids? Not until they figure out how to award based on the fences until then they'll stick to FO's... just a guess.

They are so short staffed I doubt they could pull anyone from the line to do training. I doubt you will see anything substantial till the Saabs get parked

When the CR9 Heavy's start rolling into JFK about OCT or NOV things will change... well atleast on the FO side.

Pinnacle and Colgan should have some more vacancy bids comming out soon since they're still hiring and training new classes... though I agree with blueskies about there only being FO bids...

XJ pilots took all 3 spots in MEM for the new ALPA reps of the combined airline. Lets hope that starts a trend to keep the 9e clowns out power. Great start guys! Keep it up!

You must be still getting a paycheck from this place, considering you are so involved with at the LEC/MEC level. I hope you are elected, since you want change so badly. Btw, XJ = turboprops and 9E = jets, and we've got a fine contingent of pilots who are integrated. So, a knock on a 9E pilot is the same as a knock on an XJ or 9L pilot, we are all in this together, including you apparently. Did you do well in the PNCL Corp SLI?

Nice spin. But they are INTERIM positions. You had to be there in person to vote on your rep. More Mesaba guys showed up cause more of them had that day off, therefore more mesaba votes for Mesaba reps. We will see how it falls when in the near future we vote for the real reps via internet/telephone.....

Had another 9E guy in the jumpseat this morning. Another nice guy. Pinacolaba may not be sunshine and lolipops, but its not too bad either.

On topic, I saw that an XJ commuter will now live in base because of a Colgan vacancy, so thats nice.

Where are all these surplus LGA guys going to go? Even if we kept the flying there's still an extra 100 FOs.

It is my understanding that depending on how the time line works, these interim members get to elect the new MEC, this gives them the possibility to hold a lot of power to shape the future Union. That is why these elections are supposedly so important. I am too apathetic to really care how the elections turn out at this point.

If you are correct, that the interim reps get to elect the MEC, then it is a good thing if the bases end up split among the groups, right? That means at some level, there is going to have to be compromise for someone to become MEC-level representative.
