Eagle Base Options

If I interview in 2 weeks, and then go to training 3 weeks later, when do they give you the option to select a base?

What are the chances being based in DFW?

RJ Pilot 07-27-2011 01:45 PM

Get hired first.

3GreenKSNA 07-27-2011 02:12 PM

Options to select a base are on the first day of class. Seniority is based upon your age. If you take a look at the Eagle life thread the numbers from multiple classes in the past have been posted there. Statistically DFW has had the highest number of new hires in the last few classes so your chances of getting it are pretty good. Nothing is for certain in this business and there is the extreme remote chance that the entire class will be MIA ATR.

I'll be in class August first and crossing my fingers for DFW EMB.

Hope this helps.

I think there is already a thread dedicated to eagle, for questions just like these......

It is called EAGLE LIFE

^ What he said. Why are you worrying about getting DFW ? When you should be worried about how you are going to pass the interview.

jsfBoat 07-28-2011 07:55 AM

Just be happy you have an interview at all with Beagle, some of us can't even say that.

thats a big step..

i'd be worrying about paperwork. one guy in my interview class was there for the second time in 90 days, and still got sent home in 30 mins for paperwork, for the second time...

it really is as important as they all say.

My husband interviews on the 4th of next month and he's been working on paperwork for the past two weeks straight. We even had to have a relative go in person to the DMV in one of the states we lived in to get a certified copy of his driving record, because the DMV would not expedite it!

And for heaven sake, have it finished before you show up. In my interview class a guy was still working on his in the holding tank. They asked to collect paperwork and said "I am almost finished, can I turn it in later?" They sounded fine about it, and may indeed have been, but he was gone half hour later. Maybe for something else, maybe for that reason, who knows.

Same thing happened with my interview as well. That guy who didnt have his "stuff" together was the first one sent packing within 15-20 minutes. Come with your documents ready to go with ALL the paperwork filled out EXACTLY how they ask for it. Have 2 people look it over for you so you can be mistake free. Eagle is REALLY big on attention to detail. Its not anything you need to lose sleep over, but just take pride in your application.

If you survive the video chances are you will get the job. Doing the paperwork right is indeed part of the interview process. Can't follow directions probably can't follow a checklist. 3 people were gone before 9:00 AM. Don't let it be you.

But, but, but they play the video on a constant loop!!! The post above have a great point show up prepared and be your self, while in the holding tank get to know each other and try to relax.

Finishing paperwork and reading a checklist are not a good comparison. It's easy to overlook something, with all the documentation that has to be completed. That alone doesn't constitute your abilities to read or fly an airplane. I fly with plenty of folks, you will find out that once your online, none of us are perfect by any means, no matter how much you think you have your crap together.

definently this.. we were so 'relaxed' you could hear us 'relaxing' out in the hallway.. even the hr and tech guys were coming in throwing jokes into the mix...

request for Moderators

Hey Guys,

I guess there are multiple threads for EAGLE open now and they are all discussing the same thing........

If it is OK with others, CAN I request the moderators to merge all these threads discussing EAGLE.
The Hiring & Interview questions can go to either One thread for EAGLE TO HIRE & Base & QOL type threads with Eagle Life......

Or whatever the moderators feel appropriate....

It will make it easy for all of us to follow one or two threads......

To answer your original question, there have been numerous new hires going into DFW. I'd say if you're in your mid 20s at least to 30s on up, you've got a good chance at getting it.
