It was the same when I wad at comair. My two favorite there werejetblue was buying us because they needed pilots, fast for there rapid growth. And Branson was going to buy OH, cause he needed the certificate, and was going to use the pilots to start a new company, yep virgin really needed the OH cert.

You need to educate yourself about the nicolau award, maccaslin bond law with TWA,,,AMR lawsuit, Mesa BK filings, USAPA, ALPA, East west pilots, 35% in order to put a new vote on the NMB...PSAs LOA with their new rates and more and more.

This puzzle it has been talked since 2008 for your info....

and I dont work at mesa before you ask me...

Economies of scale is the simple answer.

This is just like the local mom and pop store trying to compete with Wal Mart. Sure they might have low costs but there is no way they can gain the cost savings of being big that Wal Mart can.

If this were the case the small airlines would have already gone away. There is always more to the story.

I have all the respect in the world for Mesa pilots and wish them the best of luck. That being said Mesa: a very poor run airline and SkyWest: An airline that is run very well. So no this isnt just about the money Mesa management has destroyed every relationship with every code share possible and will no longer exist in 2015. If anything, this proves the point. JO had one of the most pro labor contracts available and is still losing flying and is still trying to pin this on the backs of everyone that has supported this company for this long. I really hope this is a blessing in disguise for everyone that works there. You will find better!

Not for Mesa specifically but we are interviewing, why should you be any different than anyone else?

This sucks. They didn't even put out a bid or offer to us at PSA or Piedmont. They should have wholly owneds do it instead of more outsourcing.

Who ever does it the cheapest wins. Sad but true
