Mesaba CRJ-900 Question

Hey guys,

Haven't had any luck in the Technical forum, so I thought I'd try here. Does anyone know for certain if the Mesaba CRJ-900s are ERs, LRs, or standard -900s? After researching it online, I've seen sites list them as any one of the three, so it's as clear as mud. Any help would be appreciated!

99% sure that we are flying LR models

What's the difference? (honest, non-sarcastic question)

When I flew the 50-seater I couldn't tell if it was the -100 or -200 without looking at the 3A1/3B1 card on the dash...

I believe they are all LR's.

All are 900 next gen LR's

I'm guessing the difference is range and maybe slightly higher payload between the different variants...

36 of the 900's (ending with tail number XJ) have dual IRS, with single WX Radar

5 that we got from Freedom i.e. Mesa (ending with tail number LR) way back when, only have AHRS, but does have dual WX radar

Very other minor differences as well...

Weren't the N***LR ones former Mesa?

Thanks for the help, guys! I appreciate it! I had been assuming that they were LRs, but it's great to get input from others on it :D

The 5 LRs were the old freedom fighters

Yes they were. LR stands for Larry Risley, the founder of Mesa Airlines...

I thought Pinnacle had a couple of the Freedom birds while waiting on some of ours to be delivered. Could be wrong though.

Pinnacle operated some of the LR tails for a short period in 08 beginning of 09 then transferred to Mesaba and ASA...
