Updating Airlineapps.com?
 

I submitted my application through airlineapps, some while under mins and have regularly updated my profile. I now meet mins for everyone I've applied to but haven't gotten any calls - just one "we're reviewing your resume" from AE that was sent a over month ago.

What's been your experience with the turn-around time from application submission to contact? Does anyone know how quickly airlineapps.com updates are received and reviewed by employers?

FYI - >700/100 but only ~75 hrs in past 12 months; renewed my 1st class medical recently (lapsed to 2nd after I built my airlineapps profile); a whopping (yet recent) 63hrs. turboprop PIC in PC-12; never a CFI; and a non-aviation-related doctorate degree (didn't list GPA - didn't think it would matter for a doctorate).

Don't leave anything blank, if it asks for GPA, put GPA.

AirlineApps acts like a filter, if something is missing or doesn't meet the minimums, it doesn't go through.

If Eagle doesn't answer, check your pulse.

Good point. ASA/ExpressJet wouldn't contact me until I filled in the GPA information. They sent an e-mail requesting it.

you have a doctorate and want to become a regional airline pilot?!? I know you hear this all too often on these forums, but my sincere advice for you, don't do it!
With two months of training figured into to your first year pay, you will make less than 23k your first year. 5 year regional upgrade, you are six years from breaking 40,000/year.

Too many pilots go onto APC and look at wages of Delta/Fedex/AA captains, and think, wow, pilots do make alot of money. However, most people are not fedex captains. It will take you years to realize anything close to these wages, while plugging away at the regionals making extremely low pay.
I would strongly encourage you to not enter the regional airline industry.

You are flying this awesome fast jet for minimum wage, spending christmas, thanksgiving, new years eve, and your birthday in the comfort inn Wichita. But hey, there is a Walmart within walking distance, and tomorow you get to sit hot reserve in ord, so the future is looking bright.

Thanks for the input and I hear you. I promise you, I do. Two of the guys I currently fly with are XJET and AE refugees, and I've got several friends who are still at regionals. I'm well aware of QOL and the financial issues. I've got my own personal reasons for still wanting to take a shot at it, and my current career has been such that we can weather the pay differences if I shift gears. I can never say that I went into this blind, but I also view it as a means to an end.

Could be that they view your advanced degree as a negative. They will spend a lot of $$ training you and if they consider you a risk to leave when you are weighed against an guy w/ an aviation bachelors /masters...well, who would you pick? I do think you'll eventually get there as the pool dwindles, but you're outside the norm for applicants and anything outside the norm right now is probably a risk to them. Keep plugging away and find some way to fly more frequently to show that you are committed to the profession.
To me, if I am on the interview team, I'd view your resume as someone who is sticking a line in the water but not committed to fishing. I might interview you if I had extra spots. You can't do anything about the PHD and it's a great accomplishment anyway, but bring your time in the last 12 months up to at leas the 300-500 range.
