As far as the 200 jumpseat being weight restricted, that's almost a company imposed problem. For starters, having a landing limited take off weight; also, poor dispatch planning; and another, poor refueling discipline from the ground crews. The fact that adding 500 lbs to a jet can be a show stopper just blows my mind, considering the WAG accuracy of everything W&B related...

And now for my final thought. Just remember that your non rev beneficiaries don't have to go on Delta. The ticket cost is the same or sometimes cheaper ZED OAL than the ZED-High that Delta gives. Same or better price for equal priority, make Delta do the work to get you a ticket and use it to ride on someone else.

I think you're all dorks because you're spending your saturday night posting on an airplane related internet discussion forum.

Oh. wait. Ugh.

This is true. My dad's ZED was cheaper on ANA and Thai Airways than on Delta when he went to NRT and BKK last year.

Really? Are you one of the guys that are stuck in the high school mentality?

It is pretty sweet, too. Maybe it isn't to you if you don't like plenty of money, a good schedule, well maintained aircraft, and people that you work with that consider you another human being.

Like I said, "Can't wait to be awesome."

Does it make you feel better about yourself to brag about your fancy mainline job to us lowly outsourced fools? Look man, I tend to agree with most of your logic here, but talking about your job the way you do, especially as a former regional pilot, makes you seem really petty. I think it was DaVinchi who said "He who truly knows has no occasion to shout." I'm happy you were able to attain a goal many of us hope to someday. It doesn't mean you're better than any of us.
