9L BOS Closing?
Heard the Boston base at Colgan is closing.
My wife has family that works at Presque Isle and PNCL said pulling out of Boston markets before the end of the year. How many pilots will this displace? |

Somebody told me that recently. I honestly forget who. This is the second place I've heard this rumor. It's just that though, a rumor. I heard Piedmont was picking up some of the routes?
Honestly, and I'm not trying to flame bait at all, and I'm certainly NOT trying to get this rumor going, but if it's true, what with all of the XJ Saab bases yet to close, I'm actually surprised the F-word rumor hasn't started floating around. I don't think it'd be very big or very long, but how many pilots can you really displace in such a short period time? We're still hiring though I guess. |

Us airway flying isn't very profitable. Even if we lose all flying we could absorb it and still be understaffed. Don't forget we have guys going to the jet as well.
